Before starting our Negotiated Final Major Project, we undertook a research module in semester 1.
The purpose of this module was to allow us to perform a significant amount of research to better inform our Negotiated Final Major Project before we actually started it.
The idea being that the research performed before the commencement of our project would assist us in the successful competition of the project.
My initial idea is based around macro-insect photography.
This is a subject that I have been utterly fascinated with since my childhood.
I undertook a similar insect photography project in the first year of my Degree which was very successful.
I will mention this in more detail in the "Previous Insect Photography Project" page on this blog.
It was the Directions Within Photographic Communications module, in which, we had to devise a concept for a book.
We would then shoot and edit the content for the book and then design and publish it using the Blurb online book-making resource.
This was one of the modules that I have enjoyed most over the duration of my degree. I have always wanted to design my own book and it was great to be able to produce a book about macro-insect photography. My Negotiated Final Major Project is the the core element of the final year of my BA (Hons) Degree Programme.
